Mono/polymer inaglio print
I just did my first intaglio project in printmaking and am in love with the process. These prints are of my mother and me, both at age 18.
Earlier this month, my soulbuddy Jane and I created a spontaneous show in 5 days. Our inspiration came from a somewhat unexpected subject: The Sardine Figure.
We shared ideas, absorbed elements of each other's marks, and sometimes worked on the same piece together. The process ended up being as important as the product. Working on successful collaborate art feels good.

I have been having difficulties making art this summer with a full time job in the library. One of my jobs there is book restoration, though, so I get lots of free nice paper! I also have a very tiny workspace in my summer house (see below). Consequently, I have recently started to do tiny drawings on my free paper. Perhaps they will be compiled later into a bigger piece? I have been doing exclusively painting for the past year, so drawing feels really good. Clean, controlled.
I just finished my final watercolor series. Right now I only have a couple of pictures. These are postcard sized paintings. I did about 40 that I hang by white thread. Will post pics of the big pieces soon.
